Dear Community Friends & Supporters,
This page shares staff information and the many tasks still before us. If you want to participate in some way please read on. First however, let's acknowledge the many contributions of time and money thus far. Hundreds of community friends, organizations and businesses have helped to build wonderful facilities, My Brothers House (CWS) and Juda House. Coming soon St. Joseph's Haven in 2009.
Homelessness, the last frontier of services, has many faces. Hard times, confused childhoods, limited educational choices, and poor adult choices are some of the reasons homelessness can touch us all. Still the question persists; ...what can I do to help? If one is suffering, we all are suffering! Please find below several tasks still before us...
Campus Development - WANTED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP DESIGN AND DEVELOP OUR CAMPUS
There are no trees, plants, mulch, stone, flag pole(s), sign at the entrance, etc. Additionally, residents want to start a garden. The garden could provide food to the Juda House residents. Additionally, the garden could be of such size to supplement meals at the future St. Joseph Haven. The campus is also void of evening activities such as; a basketball and goal, a walking path and a sand-lot volleyball court. If your resources or ideas can be used to help development of the campus please contact us...
Direct Meal Services - WANTED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP PLAN, PROVIDE AND SERVE MEALS FOR THE CWS (2008) AND ST JOSEPH HAVEN (2009...)
The Cold Weather Shelter (CWS), open January through March, will be closed in 2009 once the Haven opens. There will be a kitchen and dining room for the eighteen (18) men who will reside there. Meals will be provided 365 days a year. The garden will supplement some of the food cost, however, the facility will need many dedicated churches, organizations, businesses and individuals to sustain daily meals.
Clinical Services - VOLUNTEERS WANTED FOR TRANSPORTATION, MENTAL HEALTH, SOCIAL, SPIRITUAL, EDUCATIONAL AND LIFE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
